Welcome to Sarah Banham Gardens
“Simple design, effective results”
I offer a range of design solutions and planting schemes, working with the client from concept to completion, to find the right structure and content to suit any lifestyle.
Garden Styles
Whether you want a low-maintenance garden or to add more colour and structure to better define your outdoor space, take a look below at some of the key categories that have covered just a few of the many garden design and overhaul projects I have worked on through the years.
Colour Through Leaves and Flowers
This topic covers garden projects I have undertaken where I have used my horticultural knowledge and experience to create a planting scheme from scratch, or to enhance an established one, and provide a succession of colour through the seasons.
For Children And Animals
They say in show business never work with children and animals, but in this profession it’s quite the opposite! From simple drawings, tailored to my customers requirements, I have created gardens that maximise play space for those who need it whilst also providing a relaxation space for sitting, eating, and socialising, together with a planting scheme to suit all.
Accessible Garden Design
Adaptive gardening offers a myriad of ways for gardeners of all ages with a limited range of motion, to identify what works for them in their garden according to their personal circumstances and physical ability. Here you’ll find examples of garden designs I have worked on, to help people achieve a manageable outdoor space that they can enjoy all year round.
Change Of Lifestyle
Often a house move prompts a client to reorganise their new outdoor space to suit their own lifestyle, whether this is creating something from the blank canvas of a new build, or simply the desire to put their own stamp on an established garden. Take a look here…
Highlighted Projects
I have enjoyed working with inspiring clients, listening to their requirements and thereby gaining an understanding of how to maximise their use and enjoyment of their outdoor space. Some clients find themselves held back by a limited knowledge of plants and materials whereas others have clear aspirations of what they want but, either way, I aim to encourage them to participate and ‘own’ the project, with my help and direction. About Sarah Banham
As seems to be common, I started gardening when I bought my first house, which happened to be in Bristol. This had a postage stamp-sized back garden with a small pond that I filled in and planted up in a random fashion.
My next house had a larger garden in which I swiftly invested much time and energy. My efforts were rewarded in feelings of happiness at a time when I was not particularly satisfied in other areas of my life.
