Colour Through Leaves and Flowers |
Cossington Floral Display
Client Brief
This garden presented an immediate challenge when the client’s brief was to have “lots and lots of colour!” The plot contained (and still contains) huge trees and these actually translate into lots and lots of shade. I identified one strip of filtered sunshine and built on that for the colour. The rest is down to shade-loving or shade-tolerant plants. As ever, in such cases, a certain amount of experimentation is involved.

Client Testimonial
“Sarah was given free rein to do what she could with a garden with poor thin soil, massive tree roots and all on a sloping site. The result is a glorious succession of flowers and shrubs giving joy from the early daffodils and tulips through blazing summer colours to golds and soft shades in autumn; Sarah’s skill giving joy all year round!”
